Bella Okagbue – “People don’t want me to succeed”

Bella Okagbue, a prominent figure from the reality TV show Bbn, has recently sparked a significant discussion on Twitter. She fearlessly expressed her belief that many Nigerians appear to be against her achievements. This revelation follows intense criticism she faced regarding her remarks on brand endorsements and her personal life.

Bella’s comments come in response to the backlash she received for her statements about the high fees she and her boyfriend demand for endorsements. During a TikTok Live session, as reported by Kemi Filani, she revealed that numerous brands were unable to afford working with them, either individually or as a couple, due to their hefty asking price. Bella emphasized that only major and influential brands could enter into collaborations with them.

However, this assertion was met with doubt and criticism from social media users. Many accused Bella of fabricating stories about turning down brand deals due to their cost. Some pointed out previous instances where she accepted deals for lesser amounts, such as a 500,000 Naira agreement. Others criticized her apparent preference for international brands over Nigerian ones, suggesting that she was actually paying these brands instead of being paid by them.
