President Emeka Rollas of the Actors Guild of Nigeria made an official announcement on Instagram regarding the passing of the esteemed actor.

In his post, he wrote; “Sad Day for Actors Guild of
Nigeria. Kate Henshaw lost her mother earlier today and Mr Ibu suffered cardiac arrest according to his manager for 24 years Mr Don Single Nwuzor. I announce with deep sense of grief that Mr Ibu didn’t make it. May his soul rest in peace.”

The news of Mr Ibu’s passing has sparked discussions, yet many remain unaware of the exact cause of his death. Emeka Rollas’ post sheds some light on the circumstances surrounding Mr Ibu’s demise.

Mr Ibu had been battling health issues for some time, notably undergoing a leg amputation last year due to illness. Despite this setback, recent videos circulating online depicted him in seemingly good health, showing signs of recovery.
