Yoruba Nigerian film actor Shoneye Olamilekan has openly criticized his fellow actors for their insincere expressions of grief towards the late Murphy Afolabi, who passed away shortly after his birthday in May.

Taking to Instagram, Shoneye questioned why his colleagues remained silent about Murphy Afolabi’s projects even after his demise.

The actor, who asserted that he doesn’t seek attention or validation on social media, accused Nollywood of neglecting to share the late actor’s work.

In a polite yet taunting manner, he highlighted the irony of his colleagues posting about Afolabi’s shocking death on their social media pages but failing to actively promote his projects, emphasizing that it costs nothing to support and promote his work.

“I’m not the type that would come to social media to seek attention or validation, but I feel that the last respect we can give to Murphy Afolabi is reposting his movie for massive awareness! At least we all posted him on our page when his death cake to us was a shock, why not his movie? It costs us absolutely nothing. My take though.”
