Zubby Michael responds to critics over not mourning Junior Pope – “It’s not about posting, you all should rest”
Nollywood actor Zubby Michael has addressed the criticism he faced for not publicly mourning his late colleague, Junior Pope.
Following the news of Junior Pope’s passing, netizens took to trolling Zubby Michael, who had been the best man at Junior Pope’s wedding and was known to be close to him, for not posting a tribute. Instead, Zubby shared videos of himself enjoying life.
In response to the backlash, Zubby Michael advised his critics to take a step back, emphasising that not everything needs to be shared online.
“Make una rest no be by posting”.
Angela Okorie previously hinted at a rift between Zubby Michael and Junior Pope, suggesting that Zubby’s reluctance to post a tribute was due to underlying issues between them.
Okorie also commented on Zubby’s ambition in Nollywood, claiming he’s in conflict with many in the industry, including the late Junior Pope, in his quest to become the industry’s top star, despite Junior Pope being his senior.
