Former contestants of the popular reality show Big Brother Naija, Christy O and Kess, have spoken out in support of their fellow contestant and Level Up winner, Phyna, after Davido made a statement claiming he did not know her.

According to a report by Vistanaij Media, Davido caused a stir on social media when he accidentally liked a tweet that criticized Phyna. The tweet suggested that there are certain celebrities whose popularity is questioned and judged, and Phyna was named as one of them.

To the surprise of many, Davido liked the tweet, which sparked a heated online debate with some defending him and others criticizing him.

In response, Phyna expressed her bewilderment at why Davido would like a negative tweet about her. However, she remained unfazed by the negativity and went on to congratulate Davido and Chioma on the birth of their twins.

Davido subsequently apologized to Phyna, explaining that he was not familiar with who she was.

Coming to Phyna’s defense, Christy O commented that only someone living under a rock would be unaware of Davido’s fame and influence. She also reassured Phyna that not everyone will like her, and that it’s okay.

“It’s only if you live under the rock that you won’t know who @unusualphyna is. That being said, Phyna everybody cannot like you and that’s okay. Know this and know peace”

Kess also joined in, highlighting how Phyna’s popularity surpasses that of many A-list celebrities in various industries.
