Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, former Governor of Zamfara State and current Senator representing Zamfara West, has strongly denounced the recent killing of Abubakar Hassan Mada, the Chairman of the Gusau Local Government Ulama Council of JIBWIS. Yari described the act as un-Islamic and barbaric, lamenting that it regresses the state to a time when human life held no sanctity.

In an official statement released by the publicity committee of A A Yari political organization, chaired by Hon. Ibrahim Muhammad Danmadami Birinin Magaji, Yari emphasized that the Zamfara State Government should not tolerate such actions from unidentified perpetrators. He expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Sheikh Abubakar Hassan Mada, highlighting the significant void left in the field of Islamic education, as the deceased had dedicated his life to the cause of Islam.

Senator Yari extended his condolences to the family of the deceased, as well as to JIBWIS, the Gusau Local Government branch, the National Headquarters of JIBWIS, and the entire Muslim community for the immense loss. He prayed for Allah SWT to grant Sheikh Abubakar Hassan Mada a place in Janattil Firdausi (the highest level of paradise).

Additionally, Aminu Sani Jaji, a member of the House of Representatives representing the Kaura Namoda / Birinin Magaji federal constituency, also condemned the brutal killing. In a separate statement, he expressed shock at the news and called for Nigeria to rise above such barbaric acts, emphasizing the need for a more civilised way of life.
