Video of man flogging his younger sister for voting APC sparks outrage and calls for his arrest

A disturbing video has caused a widespread backlash on social media as it shows a man using a cane to whip his younger sister over her political choice in Nigeria’s presidential election. According to reports, the girl voted for Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, which angered her brother who is a supporter of Peter Obi from the Labour Party.

In the video, which was shared on Instagram by NAIJAEVERYTHING, the man can be seen berating his sister for her vote while using a cane to flog her. He ordered her to lie down on the centre table and proceeded to whip her.

Due to the display of cruelty in the video, Vistanaij Media was unable to post it. However, many Nigerians have condemned the man’s actions and pointed out that the girl did not commit a crime by exercising her right to vote for the candidate of her choice. Some have even called for his arrest for his barbaric behavior.

The incident has once again highlighted the need for increased education on the importance of peaceful political participation and respect for individual choices. It also underscores the dangers of political violence and the urgent need to address it.
