Update: Mbah Holds Meeting with Tinubu to Discuss the Release of Nnamdi Kanu

Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State held a confidential meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Mbah, speaking to State House correspondents after the meeting, revealed that he pleaded with President Tinubu for Kanu’s release as part of a national healing process that Tinubu has already initiated.

Governor Mbah expressed his hope that President Tinubu would give serious consideration to the request for Nnamdi Kanu, who claims to be the leader of IPOB, to be granted his freedom. Additionally, during the meeting, Mbah appealed to the federal government for assistance in harnessing the abundant mineral resources in Enugu State, ensuring that the people of the state would benefit from these resources.
