Toke Makinwa took to Instagram recently to celebrate her father’s appointment as the chairman of NNPC. She expressed her immense pride, considering it a well-deserved recognition for his years of dedicated service in the oil industry, starting from his time at Mobil and now reaching this prominent position.

However, the accompanying pictures featuring her father alongside President Tinubu sparked controversy, with some critics alleging that there was a financial arrangement between Tinubu and Makinwa.

It’s worth noting that Makinwa had previously faced backlash for joining the president at a delegation event in Dubai called the Conference of the Parties, which saw a total of 1,411 Nigerian attendees, including Makinwa.
