Omoyele Sowore, a former presidential candidate, has called on Nigerians to unite and take action to remove what he describes as “wicked” leaders in the country.

Sowore made this plea while expressing concern about the increasing level of hardship faced by the populace.

The publisher of SaharaReporters raised questions about how people can manage to survive in Nigeria with a monthly salary as low as N30,000. He highlighted that the removal of fuel subsidy by the Nigerian government has further exacerbated the decline in the standard of living in the country.

In a message posted on his official Twitter handle on Wednesday afternoon, Sowore wrote: “I am asking again and again, how do persons (Nigerians) receiving NGN30,000 live on that? How would they pay for transportation to work or anywhere with N30,000 per month, and then afford to feed, buy medicine, and pay children’s school fees?”

He expressed deep concern about the challenging conditions people are facing and emphasized that the leaders who are living luxuriously while the citizens struggle must be held accountable. Sowore encouraged Nigerians to organize themselves and take action, using the hashtag #RevolutionNow. He urged them not to endure the agony any longer but to stand up and effect change.
