Sister of Deceased Woman Confronts Asake Regarding His London Concert

Rachael Iku, the sister of the late Rebecca Ikumelo, who tragically passed away at Asake’s London concert last year, has publicly criticized the artist over his recent London concert.

According to a report by Vistanaij Media, Asake mesmerized the audience with an outstanding performance at his sold-out concert held at the 02 Arena in London last night.

Before commencing the show, the singer paid tribute to the two women who lost their lives at his previous UK concert in December. A heartfelt video was played, displaying photographs of the deceased individuals, Rebecca Ikumelo, a mother of two, and Gabrielle Hutchinson, a security personnel, accompanied by an emotional tribute.

The audience was moved during the tribute, observing a minute of silence in honor of the departed.

Expressing her dissatisfaction, Rachael took to the micro-blogging platform Twitter (now known as X) to call out the singer for not reaching out to her family since the incident. She criticized him for using her sister’s image without their consent and described his tribute as an inadequate excuse.

Rachael revealed that her family has had no communication with Asake since the devastating incident, yet he was holding another concert in the same country a mere nine months after the tragic loss.

What a sorry excuse of a “tribute” from @asakemusik. My sister lost her life at your show and you haven’t spoken to a single member of my family since. But you can hold another concert in London less than 9 months later and play their videos as a “tribute”?

RIP Rebecca Ikumelo”

RIP my sister Rebecca Ikumelo and also to Gaby Hutchinson”.

“Are you actually ok? Asake has not spoken to my family or I since the initial message exchanged when my sister passed away”, she tweeted.
