Grab yourself a six-pack of Puppers, give your balls a tug, and hide your mom because Shoresy of Letterkenny is getting his own spinoff. Hulu released a Shoresy teaser trailer that finally unmasks Letterkenny‘s notorious #69. Created and written by Jared Keeso, the series will star Keeso as the title character, reprising the role that originated on Letterkenny. This will be the first time that Letterkenny fans will see the character’s face on the screen. That’s right. Up until now, Shoresy’s face has been obscured when appearing in select episodes of Letterkenny, one of the funniest shows to ever come from the Great White North. Season 1 of Shoresy is set to debut on Hulu in Spring 2022.

Shoresy is a six-episode, half-hour hockey comedy that Hulu says will see “the foul-mouthed, chirp-serving, mother-loving, fan-favorite character, Shoresy, join a senior AAA hockey team in Sudbury on a quest to never lose again.”

Shot on location in Sudbury, Ontario, Shoresy will star Tasya Teles as Nat, Harlan Blayne Kytwayhat as Sanguinet, Blair Lamora as Ziigwan, and Keilani Rose as Miigwan. Also joining the harsh chirping sessions, soft birthday party celebrations, and hard-hitting hockey antics are Blainville, QC rapper Jonathan-Ismael Diaby as Dolo, former Montréal Canadien, author and actor Terry Ryan as Hitch, Ryan McDonell as Michaels, Max Bouffard as JJ Frankie JJ, former Kahnawake Condor and MMA fighter Andrew “The Canon” Antsanen as Goody, iconic all-time tough guy Jon “Nasty” Mirasty, former ‘Canes center Brandon Nolan, and three-time Stanley Cup winner, Jordan Nolan, who star as Jim, Jim, and Jim, respectively, with Listowel’s Keegan Long as Liam, and North Bay’s Bourke Cazabon as Cory.

After delays due to the pandemic, Season 10 of Letterkenny premiered on Hulu on December 26. Co-created by Keeso and Jacob Tierney, Letterkenny is a laugh-out-loud comedy that focuses on the lives of people living in the fictional, rural town of Letterkenny, Ontario. Focusing primarily on the characters Wayne (Keeso), Daryl (Nathan Dales), Dan (K. Trevor Wilson), and Katie (Michelle Mylett), Letterkenny explores the happenings of a small town where everyone knows your business, and rowdy scraps with your neighbors are a common occurrence. Filled with off-the-wall- characters and plenty of fast-talking banter, Letterkenny is more or less mandatory entertainment for Canadians. I was exposed to Letterkenny shortly after moving to Ontario and fell in love with it right away. It’s terrifying how relatable it is, and how accurately it depicts a subset of Canadians. Fun Fact: I live about an hour and a half from where Letterkenny is filmed, so it hits real close to home.

Even if the Shoresy teaser trailer doesn’t show much in the way of action, I guarantee you that the show will be worth checking out when it skates onto Hulu this Spring. Leave your decency at the door and get ready to learn plenty of new insults to try on your friends.
