Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North, has called upon Christians to seek spiritual inspiration from the story of Jesus Christ’s resurrection as they celebrate Easter.

In an Easter message shared with the press in Abuja on Wednesday, Nwoko urged Christians to allow the symbolism of Jesus Christ’s death on the cross to resonate within them.

He emphasized that Easter commemorates the fulfillment of God’s prophecy, offering the hope of eternal life to humanity through the sacrificial death of Christ and His subsequent resurrection from the dead.

“With this faith, Christians should actively contribute to making the world a better place for all of us,” he stated.

Nwoko also encouraged Christians to use the Easter celebration as an opportunity to demonstrate Christ-like compassion for the poor and vulnerable in society.

“Let us speak out against injustice and any actions that hinder equal opportunities, fairness, and national unity. This season should serve as a time for renewed hope and thoughtful introspection, reminding us of the significance of compassion, unity, and resilience,” he expressed.

Furthermore, Nwoko urged Christians to recommit themselves to serving the nation and to pray for peace and the preservation of national unity during this period.
