Security Operatives Clash with Suspected Yoruba Nation Agitators in Oyo State – Three Dead, Five Arrested

Tragic events unfolded in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, as a group of individuals suspected to be Yoruba nation agitators stormed the Oyo State Secretariat.

Reports indicate that during a confrontation with security operatives on Saturday, three individuals lost their lives. Additionally, at least five agitators were apprehended and are currently in the custody of security personnel.

The incident occurred when these agitators attempted to seize control of the state House of Assembly by invading the Oyo State Secretariat. This administrative complex houses the governor’s office, the House of Assembly, various ministries, agencies, and departments.

The clash between the agitators and security operatives resulted in the tragic loss of three lives. The security personnel took action to prevent the agitators from taking over the seat of government.

Furthermore, the security operatives successfully apprehended at least five remaining agitators, who are now under their custody.

The situation remains tense as investigations continue and security measures are reinforced to maintain order in the state.
