Plateau Fire Service Rescues Property Worth N500 Million

According to Mrs. Nanya Dul, the Head of Press and Protocol of the Federal Fire Service in Plateau State, a total of 17 fire incidents occurred in the state in 2023.

However, the Fire Service was successful in saving properties valued at approximately N500 million during these incidents.

Mrs. Dul revealed in an interview with journalists in Jos that most of the fire outbreaks took place in communities within the Jos North and Jos South local government areas. The causes of these outbreaks were attributed to factors such as bush burning, carelessness, suspected arson, and improper use of electrical appliances.

She emphasized that the Fire Service promptly responded to all 17 fire calls received in Plateau State last year, effectively preventing further property damage. Fortunately, no casualties were reported during these incidents.

Mrs. Dul urged residents of the state to be proactive in taking preventive measures to avoid fire outbreaks and ensure the safety of their properties.
