Phyna Opens Up about Losing 17 Brand Deals in a Year Due to Controversies, Including Being Labeled an Abuser by a Major Brand

Phyna, also known as Ijeoma Otabor from the popular reality show Big Brother Naija “Level Up,” has opened up about the impact of controversies and scandals on her professional life, revealing that she lost 17 brand deals as a result.

During an interview with her fellow housemate, Doyin, on “Doyin’s Corner,” Phyna shared how a brand rejected working with her due to the perception that she was an abuser. This incident occurred after media outlets and blogs accused her of slapping Groovy because he had made a deal behind her back, which was originally meant to involve both of them.

The reality star expressed that the online trolling she faces has a detrimental effect on her. So far, she has lost a total of 17 brand deals between last year and this year.

Two weeks ago, my manager and I did a calculation of how many deals I lost last year till now. We counted 17 deals. Am aware of a big brand that told me their reason for not working with me is because I am an abuser. They said they can’t work with an abuser, and this was coming that period that bloggers said I slapped someone”.
