Petrol-Laden Tanker Falls and Spills Content, Sparks Fear in Delta Community

An accident involving a petrol truck has caused fear in the Udu local government area of Delta State. The petrol-laden tanker reportedly fell on top of Udu bridge, causing its contents to spill on the surrounding environment.

As a result, road users and business persons who were under the bridge have started to evacuate from the location, out of fear of an explosion or fire.

The petrol tanker has blocked the bridge, thereby depriving road users of access to the Sedco area of the town. Additionally, those returning from Ovwian, Owase, Jigbale axis have also been denied access due to the spill. The cause of the tanker’s fall is not yet clear.

At the scene of the accident, our correspondent reports a serious gridlock on top of the bridge. Some road users are now forced to take alternative routes to their destinations, while others remain stranded in the area. The situation has caused a lot of inconvenience and fear among the affected individuals.
