Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has expressed her disagreement with skitmaker Kiekie after Kiekie revealed her practice of splitting bills with her husband.

During an interview, Kiekie advised women to financially support their partners by sharing the financial responsibilities equally.

Drawing from her own experience, Kiekie shared that she personally splits the bills with her husband, as it makes her feel more at ease.

In response, Peggy criticized Kiekie and suggested that Kiekie should acknowledge that she earns more than her husband.

Peggy firmly stated that it is her husband’s responsibility to cover the expenses, especially since he is capable of doing so. In her view, her role is to take care of the household and be available for emergencies, as her husband would not allow her to split the bills with him.

“Just say you earn more than your husband Kiekie, them bill shaming is a Must. It is my husband’s responsibility to pay the bills especially since he can afford it, mine is to take care of the home & be there for Emergency cases. My man won’t even let me pay jack”.

In a similar vein, Uche Ebere, a seasoned actress, criticized Kiekie, questioning the reason behind contemplating divorce despite being married. Uche Ebere advised Kiekie to focus on fostering a positive home environment instead.

Actress Chizzy Alichi also voiced her refusal to be among women who divide expenses with their husbands. She emphasized that it is solely her husband’s responsibility to provide for the household.
