Osun State Government and the United States reach agreement to host a collaborative development conference.

An agreement has been reached between the Osun State Government and the United States to host a development and donor conference in support of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s developmental plans for the state.

The conference, which will involve a number of United Nations donor agencies, aims to present the governor’s agenda to development partners currently operating in Nigeria.

The conference will cover various areas of interest, including education, health, agro-industrial growth, youth and women development, digital economy, climate change agenda and green infrastructure.

The U.S Consul General in Lagos, Mr Will Stevens, has expressed the embassy’s readiness to support the initiative and activate the existing development partners’ platform in the pursuit of the conference. Kazeem Akinleye, the Chief of Staff to the governor, is coordinating the programme and believes that it will deliver on the government’s promises to the people of Osun.

According to him, the event will be advantageous for Osun once we collaborate, and a dedicated team is currently working on the arrangement.
