Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, holds meeting with governors’ wives at Aso Rock

On Friday, Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the President, held a meeting with the wives of the 36 State governors to formally introduce and familiarize them with the goals of her proposed pet project, the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).

During the meeting, she reminded them of the importance of fulfilling the promises made during the elections.

Tinubu also expressed the need for their support in reaching every corner of the country, indicating that their assistance would be invaluable in achieving the objectives of the RHI.

Furthermore, Tinubu assured the governors’ wives that the implementation of the RHI would not interfere with their personal programs or projects, emphasizing that it would complement their individual efforts.

Her words: “I wish to remind each of us that the exalted positions we are in today should be seen as an opportunity to impact more meaningfully, not only in the lives of people in your states but in Nigeria as a whole.” 

Following the meeting, Ambassador Olufolake Abdulrazak, the wife of the governor of Kwara State, expressed her assurance of the support and commitment of the governors’ wives towards the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI). She stated that they would select zonal coordinators to ensure that the project reaches the grassroots level effectively.

Abdulrazak also confirmed that the implementation of the RHI would not interfere with the individual projects of the governors’ wives in their respective states. Rather, it would complement their existing efforts.

The Renewed Hope Initiative is a special project initiated by the Office of the First Lady of Nigeria.
