Early Life and Education
Olamide was born on the 15th of March 1989 in Bariga, Lagos State
He studied at Tai Solarin University of Education.
Career
According to the Rapper, as he revealed in one of his songs titled 1999, He started hustling after incidents that happened within the family and is Dad almost being killed by Armed Robbers.
In 2000, He decided to pursue his musical career after discovering he was gifted in the ART
He was signed to Codedtunes record and released his Debut Album titled Rapsodi in 2011, The lead single featuring StarBoy Wizkid charted on several radio stations in Lagos and across Nigeria. The Album lead to a lot of collaboration with Big Stars at that time; Dbanj, Reminisce, and 9ice which also belonged to Codedtunes.
He left Codedtunes launched YBNL in 2012. This breakthrough appeared as a surprise and shock to many persons who didn’t believe Baddo was destined for greatness.
Ever since, his breakthrough, Olamide has made sure He releases one Album every year, He has also brought a lot of upcoming artists to light, the likes of Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Vector, Davolee, Chinko Ekun among others.
