Nwabali Addresses Prospective Move to Europe

Chippa United and Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, has revealed that he is in no hurry to join any European club despite gaining attention for his outstanding performance in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Nwabali, who played a crucial role in the Super Eagles’ journey to the AFCON final, has reportedly attracted interest from European clubs, including Royale Union Saint-Gilloise from Belgium.

In an interview with Arise News, Nwabali acknowledged the messages encouraging him to join a bigger club or make a move to Europe but emphasized his comfort in any environment, stating, “I don’t like to rush.”

The 27-year-old goalkeeper, who maintained four consecutive clean sheets during the AFCON, might return to action for Chippa United in their upcoming match against Cape Town City. Currently, Chippa United holds the 13th position in the 16-team South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) with 18 points.
