NDDC Rivers Representative, Okocha, Calls for Enhanced Collaboration with Security Agencies

Mr. Tony Okocha, the Rivers State representative on the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has emphasized the importance of forging closer ties with security agencies to facilitate the achievement of the board’s core objectives.

During his visit to the Nigerian Air Force, Rivers State Command, in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, Okocha, who also serves as the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, made this appeal. He was warmly received by Air Commodore Ali Hussain Idris, the Commander of the 115 Special Operations Group at the Nigerian Air Force Base, Port Harcourt, along with other senior officers.

The purpose of Okocha’s visit was to establish formal connections with the command and seek their cooperation and support for the NDDC. He expressed gratitude to the Commander for initiating a courtesy visit to the state office of the NDDC.

“We are delighted to be here, as we recognize the vital role that security agencies play in our society. As a party, we seek your collaboration to fulfill the vision of our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which is to bring the dividends of democracy to the people of Rivers State,” Okocha stated.

In his remarks, Air Commodore Ali Hussain Idris expressed appreciation to Okocha and his delegation for the significant visit. He assured them that the doors of the Command are always open to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the NDDC, offering their services and support whenever required.
