Rumors swirl around the future of Napoli’s manager, Walter Mazzarri, amid reports of a potential dismissal before the Champions League clash against Barcelona.

Transfer expert Matteo Moretto has hinted at ongoing discussions between Napoli and Slovakia’s national team coach, Francesco Calzona, suggesting a possible managerial transition.

The uncertainty surrounding Mazzarri’s position heightened after Napoli’s recent 1-1 draw with Genoa. While some reports suggest Mazzarri may get a final chance against Barcelona, Moretto believes there’s a possibility he could be relieved of his duties even before the crucial European fixture.

Francesco Calzona, the current coach of Slovakia’s national team, is reportedly being considered as a replacement. Calzona has previous experience at Napoli, serving as an assistant to Maurizio Sarri and Luciano Spalletti.

It is suggested that Calzona would continue his role with the Slovakian national team for the remainder of the season if he joins Napoli.
