Body positivity advocate Monalisa Stephen has responded to criticisms from Big Brother Naija contestant Tacha regarding her appearance. According to Kemi Filani’s report, Tacha Akide took issue with Stephen’s statement that “BBN made Tacha.”

During an interview with Pulse Nigeria, Stephen expressed her observations that Tacha has become arrogant and unappreciative of the show’s platform. She reminded Tacha that without the reality show, she would not have achieved her current level of fame and would still be relatively unknown, sharing videos of herself dancing on the internet. Stephen also conveyed that it is reasonable for Tacha to acknowledge the significant role that BBN has played in her success.

In response, Tacha, known for her candidness towards critics, took to Instagram to strongly criticize Stephen. She questioned how many times she needed to express her gratitude to the show’s organizers for launching her career. Tacha sarcastically suggested that she should clean their office desks and tables daily as a means of demonstrating her appreciation. She insulted Stephen, implying that she would forever remain unintelligent and highlighted the effort she has put into achieving her current status.

Additionally, in a separate tweet, Tacha referenced her fellow housemate Ella, who has not achieved the same level of success, to support her argument that BBN alone did not solely contribute to her accomplishments. Furthermore, Tacha resorted to body-shaming Monalisa Stephen.

In her Instagram story response, Monalisa restated that Tacha would have no significance without the reality show.

She emphasized that, unlike Tacha, she has achieved success through her own efforts, a concept that Tacha cannot comprehend.

Monalisa also subtly implied that Tacha is involved in transactional relationships, expressing gratitude to her Port Harcourt and Lagos boyfriends for supporting the reality star.
