Mixed reactions as Tribunal ousts Thaddeus Attah, paving the way for Banky W to shine

Social media users are sharing their opinions on the recent decision by the Tribunal to remove Thaddeus Attah, a Labour Party Lawmaker representing Eti-Osa Federal Constituency.

Previously, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Attah of the LP as the winner of the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives election.

His unexpected victory sparked discussions on social media, with many alleging that he had relied on the influence of the LP to secure the position. The outcome was also challenged in court by opposing parties.

The Tribunal, based in Ikeja, Lagos State, nullified his win due to the non-conduction of elections in approximately 40 polling units in the local government area.

As a result, the court has instructed INEC to organize a supplementary election in the 32 polling units of Eti-Osa within 90 days.

In response to this news, while some individuals expressed joy at the prospect of Banky W winning the election this time, others perceived it as a strategic move to bring the APC into power.
