Man Arrested by Police for Allegedly Killing Another in Parking Dispute

According to the Police Command in Lagos State, a 41-year-old man, Tolulope Olowu, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a 33-year-old man named Pablo to death over a car parking dispute on their street. The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday at about 10.00 p.m. at First Unity Estate in the Badore area of Ajah.

Confirming the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday, the command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said the case was reported to the Langbasa Police Division at about 2.00 a.m. on Sunday. Hundeyin stated that both the suspect and deceased were residents of Gbadamosi Street in the estate.

The police spokesman did not provide details of what led to the car parking dispute that allegedly resulted in the fatal stabbing. However, he assured that the police would ensure that justice is served in the case.

They had a misunderstanding over parking of vehicle on the street.

“In the process, Tolulope allegedly stabbed Pablo with a knife in the stomach and he died on the spot.

“Based on the report, teams of detectives from the division visited and photographed the scene.

The corpse has been evacuated and deposited at IDH Morgue, Yaba for autopsy,” he said.

Hundeyin stated that the suspect has been apprehended and was found in possession of evidence related to the crime, while investigations are still ongoing. (NAN)
