Lilian Esoro is a Nigerian Nollywood actress, entrepreneur, and TV personality. She took up her acting career back in 2005 when her appearance was made known in a soap opera that was cast by her friend Bovi, which was titled Extended Family, and also in a TV series titled Clinic Matters, where she played the role of Nurse Abigail. Lilian is a recipient of the 2013 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards for best actress in the comedy category.

Early Life and Education

Lilian Esoro was born on February 13, 1982, in Lagos State. She is, however, a native of Imo State, in the south-eastern part of Nigeria. She is the youngest of seven children by her parents, Mr and Mrs Esoro. Her brother, Uche Esoro, is the CEO of Duchis Dredging & Construction Limited.

She studied Integrated Science at Bida Polytechnic, Niger State, for her Ordinary National Diploma (OND). She is also a graduate of Political Science from the University of Abuja.

Career

In 2005, Lilian Esoro made her acting debut. She was a member of the “Extended Family” cast of Bovi’s soap opera. She did a fantastic job portraying her part and quickly got another job playing Nurse Abigail in the hit TV show “Clinic Matters.”

Lilian Esoro has been in numerous popular TV shows and motion pictures. There are several of them, such as “Taste of Love,” “The Alter Date,” “The Next Door Neighbour,” “Tinsel,” “Fool’s Paradise,” “Trapped in Between,” and “Love Battle.” She also appeared in the Toyin Abraham-produced hit film.

In a list compiled by Vanguard in 2013, Esoro was listed as one of the top ten best new actresses in the film industry.

Lilian is well-versed in skincare regimens, procedures, and products. She is the owner and manager of the skincare company, Lioca Skincare, which she uses to assist others in enhancing the health and beauty of their skin. She is also the CEO of Goldie Locks Hair Salon located in Abuja. 

Personal Life

Lilian Esoro married Ubi Franklin, a Nigerian politician and the CEO of Made Men Music (MMM), in November 2015. He is also a Special Adviser on Tourism to the Governor of Cross River State, Benedict Ayade. Only a year into their marriage, Ubi Franklin and Lilian Esoro decided to divorce in January 2020. The couple parted ways a few months after the birth of their son, Jayden Neatochukwu. In February 2021, their divorce was legally formalised.

His emotional detachment, according to Lilian Esoro, was one of the causes of the divorce. According to some accounts, infidelity and physical abuse were also factors in the marriage’s breakdown.
