Lawmaker Urges Muslims to Pray for Tinubu’s Success on Sallah

In a Sallah message to Muslims in Ondo State, Mr. Sunday Olajide, who represents Akure Constituency 2 in the Ondo State House of Assembly, urged the faithful to use the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration to pray for the President-Elect, Sen. Bola Tinubu, to succeed when he is inaugurated on May 29.

Olajide called on Muslims to pray for guidance, wisdom, and divine direction for Tinubu from God in tackling the economic stagnation and insecurity facing the country. He praised Tinubu as a man of vision with the capacity to move the country forward.

Olajide expressed confidence that with God’s help and support from Nigerians, Tinubu would perform better as president when inaugurated on May 29.

The occasion should be used, not just for merry making, but to pray for our leaders to do what is right at all times.

“They should continue to pray for the incoming administration so that its good plans and programmes for the country will come to reality.

“We know that the incoming president has capacities to turn things around positively but he needs God’s help and wisdom with support from all Nigerians,” he said.

Olajide commended Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his proactive efforts in addressing the challenges of banditry and kidnapping in the state.

The establishment and adequate funding of Amotekun Corps have brought peace and tranquility to the state,” Olajide said.

Olajide urged Muslims to focus their actions towards fostering peace and progress in the country. He encouraged them to reflect on the teachings of Ramadan by promoting good habits and extending help to others. He emphasized that acts of kindness and generosity should not be limited to the month of Ramadan, but should be carried throughout one’s lifetime.
