Kogi Election: Army Instructs Personnel to Prioritize Order and Tranquility

The General Officer Commanding 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Valentine Okoro, has emphasised the importance of maintaining order and tranquillity during the upcoming Kogi State governorship poll on November 11.

He urged the personnel of the 12 Brigade to demonstrate the utmost level of professionalism, while also encouraging them to uphold discipline and courage in their duties, ensuring a well-organized election within the state.

Maj.-Gen. Okoro conveyed this guidance during his address to the personnel of the 12 Brigade, who are stationed at the Chari Maigumeri Barracks in Lokoja. His advice was part of a working visit to the state.

It’s worth noting that the 2 Division, Nigerian Army, encompasses Kogi, Kwara, Edo, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, and Ekiti states.

As soldiers, you must exhibit high level of neutrality, professionalism and discipline before, during and after the upcoming governorship election in the state,” General Okoro said.
