Iyabo Ojo Recounts Naira Marley’s Rejection of Adopted Son, Calls Out Artists

The untimely and shocking passing of talented young Nigerian musician, Mohbad, continues to deeply affect the nation, leaving fans, fellow artists, and the entertainment industry grappling with the profound loss.

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has shared a personal account of how Naira Marley, Mohbad’s former boss, declined to sign one of her adopted sons when she approached him to join his record label.

During an Instagram live session, the actress voiced her demand for Naira Marley and other individuals to be held responsible for their actions towards the late singer.

According to Iyabo, Naira Marley refused to sign her adopted son, citing selectivity in the type of songs he chooses for his label.

Furthermore, in the video, Iyabo called upon artists such as Burna Boy, Davido, Tiwa Savage, and others to ensure that Mohbad receives a fitting burial.

“He is a celebrity no matter how young he was, the whole world owns celebrities. When the police are done with their autopsy, we will now bury him properly. So that when his son grows up, he will be able to go to his father’s grave. We need to give him a proper befitting burial. We need you the family to come on board with this, you the father to agree to this. He is your son, but he is ours too. Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Don Jazzy, Tiwa Sãvage, I need you to come on board that boy must be buried well”
