It will be insensitive to resume Abuja-Kaduna train operations now – FG

Addressing state house correspondents after the federal executive council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday August 24, Minister of Transportation, Muazu Sambo said government is still investigating the right type of surveillance equipment to procure in order to effectively monitor the tracks along the Abuja Kaduna route, as well as concessioning it in a Public Private Partnership arrangement.

He said;

“If I give a timeline, I’ll be lying to you. It will be insensitive to restart the service if some families weep day and night over their family members still in the bush”.

The minister said government is mindful of the cost involved but should be able to report definite progress in about a month.
