The Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, has expressed Israel’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with Nigeria in order to promote sustainable agriculture in the African nation.

During an interview with journalists in Abuja, Freeman, who also serves as the Permanent Representative of Israel to ECOWAS, shared this information. The interview took place on the sidelines of an executive roundtable organized by Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State, in collaboration with the diplomatic community, with the aim of showcasing the state’s favorable business investment climate.

Freeman stated, “Israel has established a robust partnership with Nigeria, and we are keen on further enhancing our collaboration with the various states across the federation. Specifically, we are interested in partnering with the Cross River State government, particularly in the realm of the blue economy.”

While no formal agreement has been signed yet, Freeman highlighted the significant financial implications of the potential investment between Israel and Cross River State.
