Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji finds himself in an emotional state as he receives a prestigious Doctorate degree.
As previously reported by Vistanaij Media, Lateef Adedimeji was due to receive a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Estam University, an International University.
The University bestowed this honour upon him to acknowledge his outstanding talent and remarkable accomplishments in the film industry.
The award ceremony occurred recently, and Lateef shared glimpses of this priceless moment. He expressed that he was deeply moved to tears as he was presented with the exquisite academic robe.
Lateef mentioned that his primary goal was never fame, but rather finding happiness in his craft and positively impacting the lives of others. He reflected on the irony of how he tirelessly studied his lines and honed his performance skills, only to now be rewarded with a Ph.D.
Lateef further introduced himself as Dr Abdullateef Adedimeji Adetola, a Doctor of Philosophy in Arts and Culture.
“I was moved to tears as I got adorned in this beautiful robe.
I have never been interested in fame, I just wanted to be happy with my craft and the lives that I inspire.
lad!es and gentlemen, today, I have a new title, one I couldn’t have imagined would come without me facing invigilators and keeping late nights to study…
The irony is really interesting. I burn midnight candles to master my lines and perfect my expressions, now I’m getting rewarded with what could have been if I did it for classroom reasons.
I humbly reintroduce myself, I AM DR. ABDULLATEEF ADEDIMEJI ADETOLA, Doctor of Philosophy in Art and Culture from Estam University, Benin”.
