During these challenging times, the well-being of the people remains the government’s utmost priority. As part of the initiatives to be implemented this week, we will commence the distribution of 42,000 metric tons of grains across all 36 states, a program approved by Mr. President.

We are closely collaborating with NEMA and the DSS to ensure that the grains reach the right people in the appropriate quantities and packaging. Additionally, 58,500 metric tons of milled rice from large-scale rice millers will also be released into the market to stabilize the situation.

The government is committed to addressing the hardships faced by the citizens, and these measures aim to provide relief and support to those in need.
