Hope Uzodinma, the Governor of Imo State, has announced the appointment of his brother, Ferdinand Uzodinma, as the Deputy Chief of Staff, CoS, General Services. Additionally, Cosmos Iwu has been reappointed as the Secretary to the State Government.

The Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser to the Governor, Oguwike Nwachukwu, released a statement confirming the appointments. The statement also mentioned the reappointment of Barr Nnamdi Anyaehie as the immediate past Chief of Staff. Dr Patrick Ekeji and Barr Olisaemeka Sydney have been reappointed as Deputy Chief of Staff, Administration, and Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, respectively.

Furthermore, Mr Sam Anyalewechi Nwaobasi has been officially appointed as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Programme and Policy Implementation Monitoring.

Prior to his recent appointment, Ferdinand Uzodinma had previously served as a councilor, Transition Committee Chairman, and Sole Administrator of Oru East Local Government Area in the State.

The Chief Press Secretary, Oguwike, emphasized that the appointments are effective immediately.

These appointments come after the confirmation of 12 commissioners by the House of Assembly two weeks ago. However, the Governor has yet to assign portfolios to the commissioners.

Governor Uzodinma began his second term after being sworn in on January 14.
