Gov Bago Calls on Air Force to Continue Operations Against Terrorists and Bandits in Niger

During a courtesy visit to the Government House in Minna, Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State called on the Nigerian Air Force to continue their efforts in combating terrorists, bandits, and other criminal elements across the country.

Expressing his appreciation for the Air Force’s relentless work in curtailing criminal activities, Governor Bago commended the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar, for his support and assistance to Niger State. The governor emphasized that the visit was a testament to the fact that the state is not neglected in terms of security.

Governor Bago stressed the importance of continuous surveillance by the Air Force and assured that the state government would provide all necessary support. He also mentioned the government’s efforts to tighten border security and curb the activities of artisanal miners.

Furthermore, Governor Bago informed Air Marshal Abubakar that funds have been allocated in the 2024 budget for the completion of housing units promised to the Air Force.

The governor urged all security agencies to participate in the state’s agricultural revolution and engage in farming to harness the agricultural potential of the region.

Air Marshal Abubakar expressed his gratitude to the governor for his support and commitment to collaborating with the Air Force in addressing insecurity challenges.

Air Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar, the Chief of Air Staff, has reiterated the Nigerian Air Force’s determination and renewed efforts to bombard terrorist camps in Niger State. He also announced plans to deploy additional troops to the state to enhance the fight against terrorists.

Abubakar emphasized the Air Force’s commitment to working in collaboration with other security agencies to bring an end to the insurgency in Niger State. He commended Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for his people-centric policies, which he stated aligned with the federal government’s approach to addressing security challenges.

The Chief of Air Staff’s remarks highlight the continued dedication of the Nigerian Air Force in its mission to combat insurgency and ensure the safety and security of Niger State and its residents.
