Google has announced that it will initiate the permanent deletion of inactive Gmail accounts beginning on December 1st.

In a blog post, Google explained that an account will be considered inactive if the user has not logged in or engaged in any activity for a period of two years.

According to the company’s policy, Google products have the right to delete user data when an account remains unused for a consecutive two-year period. Therefore, December 1, 2023, marks the earliest date for the deletion of Google Accounts under this policy.

It’s important to note that this policy applies solely to personal accounts. Google defines activities such as signing in, using Google Drive, reading or sending emails, watching YouTube videos, downloading apps, conducting searches, and sharing photos as actions that qualify as user activity.
