Universities and Tertiary Institutions to reopen

The “federal government” has stated “universities” within the nation can resume courses as soon as they’ve put the required COVID-19 pointers in place.

The assertion was made by, “Suleiman Yusuf”, the deputy govt secretary of lecturers for the “National Universities Commission (NUC)”, at a press convention in Abuja on Tuesday, August 4, “Premium Times” reported.

He stated the fee is working with universities to debate preparations that must be in place earlier than reopening of the tertiary establishments.

One other official of the NUC, “Abubakar Rasheed”, who serves as the manager secretary of the fee acknowledged that the company is already accumulating knowledge from universities to evaluate their preparedness to renew tutorial actions.

He additionally disclosed that the NUC is attempting to mediate with the Educational Workers Union of Universities’ (ASUU) to resolve the strike by college lecturers.
