EPL New Signings: Rodrigo Ribeiro, Morgan Rogers In; Mahmoud Departs

Rodrigo Ribeiro and Morgan Rogers have made moves to the Premier League just before the January transfer window closes.

Rodrigo Ribeiro, an 18-year-old striker from Portugal’s Sporting Lisbon, has joined Nottingham Forest on loan until the end of the season, with a potential permanent deal in sight. Despite his young age, Ribeiro brings promise to the Forest squad, although he has yet to score in his previous seven appearances for Sporting Lisbon.

This signing marks Nuno Espirito Santo’s second acquisition for Nottingham Forest this January, following Giovanni Reyna’s arrival from Borussia Dortmund.

Meanwhile, Morgan Rogers, a 21-year-old forward, has left Middlesbrough in the Championship to join Aston Villa in a permanent deal worth £15 million. Rogers’ departure from Middlesbrough comes after making 33 appearances, scoring seven goals, and providing nine assists.

Aston Villa’s manager, Unai Emery, expressed enthusiasm about Rogers’ potential to progress with the club, highlighting their excitement to work with him.

In another move, Brighton midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud has departed the Premier League club to join German Bundesliga side Stuttgart on loan. The 28-year-old German midfielder opted for a loan move due to limited playing time at Brighton, having made just six Premier League appearances since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in July.

Dahoud’s loan spell at Stuttgart offers him a chance for more regular game time, addressing concerns over his lack of opportunities at Brighton.
