Destiny Etiko shades close associates as Obi loses presidential election

Destiny Etiko, a prominent Nollywood actress, has expressed her dissatisfaction with the outcome of the February 2023 presidential election, in which Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress was announced as the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

In a recent Instagram post, she shaded the governor of Rivers state, Nyelsom Wike, and her colleagues for their loss of Peter Obi of the Labour Party, whom she supported in the election.

In her Instagram post, Destiny Etiko shared a photo of Peter Obi and Nyelsom Wike and urged Nigerians to be cautious of people who pretend to be friends but are actually enemies, known as “frienemies.” She advised her followers to be wary of such individuals because they could be the worst kind of enemies, especially those who are close to them.

Moreover, Destiny Etiko criticized her colleague, Eniola Badmus, for unveiling the asoebi (a uniform fabric) for Tinubu’s supporters before his announcement as the winner of the presidential election. She was shocked by Badmus’ confidence in Tinubu’s victory and slammed her for daring Nigerians.

Destiny Etiko’s Instagram post echoes the disappointment felt by many Nigerians who were dissatisfied with the election results. She emphasized the importance of being careful of individuals who may not have one’s best interests at heart, despite appearing friendly. Additionally, she criticized Badmus for her actions, suggesting that they were premature and disrespectful to Nigerians.
