Bode George Urges Tinubu to Address Insecurity Challenges

Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, has called on President Bola Tinubu to take action and address the security challenges facing Nigeria.

During a press conference at his office in Lagos, George expressed sympathy for Tinubu in light of the numerous crises the country is facing. He urged the President to gather elders and retired military officers to develop solutions to tackle the current security issues.

George emphasized that the escalating level of insecurity highlights the urgent need for the establishment of state police, and he urged Tinubu not to shy away from this matter.

“We are failing in terms of security, and I implore the President to invite all elders for a discussion. The issue of insecurity has become a national calamity,” George stated.

He further stated his concern for President Tinubu, acknowledging the overwhelming challenges he faces. George noted that the President cannot complain about the situation since his party is in power, and he emphasized that the entire nation is affected by the current state of affairs, regardless of political affiliation.
