Phyna, the winner of Big Brother Naija’s ‘Level Up’ edition, has clarified her previous statement on abortion after facing criticism.

During an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Phyna made a bold statement suggesting that almost every woman has had at least one abortion.

Her statement received widespread backlash, with many expressing their disapproval.

In her defense, Phyna argued that anyone who takes emergency contraceptives or drinks certain substances after intercourse has essentially undergone an abortion, except for virgins.

However, Phyna has now retracted her words, acknowledging that she was too outspoken during the interview and clarifying that she does not support abortion.

She expressed remorse for her previous assertions and emphasized her commitment to rectifying her mistakes. Phyna revealed that she is currently collaborating with gender-based organizations and NGOs to raise awareness and provide education on abortion and other societal issues.
