In Kanzanna village, located in the Bunza Local Government Area of Kebbi State, suspected bandits have carried out a deadly attack resulting in the deaths of two individuals, while three others have been kidnapped.

The incident, which occurred at around 3 am on October 18, was confirmed by SP Nafi’u Abubakar, the Public Relations Officer of the Kebbi State Police Command.

Following the attack, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Chris Aimiono-Wane, visited the village to express condolences to the affected community. In response to the incident, a joint team comprising mobile, anti-kidnapping, and counter-terrorism personnel has been deployed to the area.

The police officers are currently conducting extensive searches in nearby forests, along routes, and suspected hideouts in an effort to track down the bandits and secure the safe release of the kidnapped victims.

The Commissioner of Police strongly condemned the attack and assured the families of the victims that the command is committed to bringing the abducted individuals back home safely.
