Hajiya Huriya Dauda Lawal, the wife of the Zamfara State Governor, expressed strong condemnation of the increasing rate at which bandits are kidnapping students at the Federal University Gusau.

During her official visit to the institution’s management, she emphasized the detrimental impact of an insecure environment on students’ ability to concentrate.

The Governor’s wife extended her sympathy to the university’s management, staff, parents, and the entire student body. She sincerely apologized for the delay in her visit, citing unforeseen circumstances. However, she assured everyone that her husband’s administration is actively working to restructure the security architecture of the state to eradicate banditry.

Hajiya Huriya Dauda Lawal revealed that the combined efforts of security agencies are fully engaged to ensure the safe rescue of the remaining abducted students. She called on the students to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities. Additionally, she advised the university management to enhance its security measures in order to effectively tackle the challenges at hand.
