Arsenal Manager Arteta Resigns, Xabi Alonso to Replace Klopp

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is in the running to replace Xavi at Barcelona, with Jurgen Klopp and Julian Nagelsmann also on the shortlist. Arteta is contemplating stepping down from his role at Arsenal, but there has been no approach from Barcelona yet. Former Germany and Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick is also under consideration.

Paris St-Germain is confident about signing Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes, and both PSG and Newcastle are interested in AC Milan’s Rafael Leao.

Aston Villa has made a third bid for Middlesbrough’s Morgan Rogers.

Everton is interested in Lyon’s Jake O’Brien. Cardiff, Blackburn, and Leeds are considering a loan move for Liverpool’s Nat Phillips. Greece boss Gus Poyet is a candidate for the Republic of Ireland job. West Ham aims to complete a deal for Ibrahim Osman despite a rejected bid. Sunderland is in talks with Arsenal over a loan deal for Charles Sagoe Jr. Chelsea needs to sell a player to make signings, with Conor Gallagher attracting interest from Tottenham. Sunderland has rejected an offer from Lazio for Jack Clarke.
