Arrival of Akeredolu’s Remains in Nigeria Captured in Photos

The body of the late former Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has been brought back to Nigeria. The plane carrying Akeredolu’s remains arrived at approximately 3:39 pm on Friday.

The late governor passed away in Germany, and his body was transported to Nigeria.

Upon arrival, Akeredolu’s wife, Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, his children, and siblings, led by Prof. Wole Akeredolu, his immediate younger brother, received the body. The event was attended by representatives of other state governors, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by his Chief of Staff Tayo Ayinde; Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, represented by the Secretary to the State Government Tokunbi Talabi; and a representative of Osun State Governor Senator Demola Adeleke.

The body of Akeredolu has been temporarily deposited at the mortuary until the final burial arrangements are made. The arrival of his remains in Nigeria was documented through photographs.
