Addressing recent allegations, Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has responded to claims that she owes the late Murphy Afolabi N250,000.

Earlier today, Kemi Filani reported the public call-out of Adunni Ade regarding an alleged debt to the late actor, Murphy Afolabi.

During the 8-day Fidau Prayer held in honor of Murphy Afolabi, the burial committee specifically mentioned Adunni Ade’s name in connection to the debt.

According to the committee, Adunni Ade was said to owe Murphy Afolabi N250,000 prior to his passing, and they called upon her to reimburse the owed amount.

In response to the allegations, Adunni Ade’s team issued a public statement, refuting the reports of her indebtedness to the late actor.

According to the statement, Adunni Ade clarified that Murphy Afolabi had approached her for a job opportunity in the previous year and had already paid her a sum of N150,000.

Regrettably, due to the untimely passing of her brother, Adunni Ade was unable to fulfill the agreement and subsequently returned the full amount to Murphy Afolabi when he attempted to renegotiate the terms.

To substantiate her claims, Adunni Ade provided supporting evidence in the form of screenshots displaying her debit transaction records.
