A Nigerian footballer, Mayi Amanzah Ademe Seth has proposed to his girlfriend in a memorable way using the pitch.

The Akwa United midfielder asked his girlfriend, Blessing Karimu to marry him just before a match commenced on Sunday, 27th of February 2022.

Mayi proposed on the pitch at the New Jos Stadium in Plateau State while wearing a T-shirt which read; ”Will You Marry Me?”.

He also had some help from his teammates who wore shirts with the words; ”Blessing Karimu please say Yes.”

The League Management Company (LMC) in a statement via its official Twitter account, said the proposal occurred moments before Plateau United vs Akwa United 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match-day 15 game.
