When to call it quits in a long distance relationship?
Calling quits in a relationship is honestly one of the hardest decisions one has to take in life. But it’s an important decision because your whole future depends on it. Now, let’s talk about the question. To determine the right time to say goodbye to a long-distance relationship, you first need to weigh in the good and the bad of that relationship. You need to ask yourself why it has come to this; talk to your long-distance partner and ask them why it became this way. Ask them about their feelings, tell them about yours, come to an understanding of each other’s point of view.
Maintaining a happy long-distance relationship is not easy; distance introduces a lot of added obstacles for couples. Trust issues arise, a lot of insecurities start popping up out of nowhere, and that’s when things start to go down. If you’re at a point in your long-distance relationship that you can’t see it going any further, you need to be honest and open to your partner about it, and you need to lay it out in front of them without sugar-coating it. Life is short, and we can’t keep falling in love and falling out of love.
When should you give up on a long-distance relationship?
If you think there is no other option left, you need to bring an end to the relationship on a good and positive note. It’s not going to be easy, but being civil and honest about your feelings will always be better than being cold about your emotions and not telling the other person exactly how you’re feeling. I always say to my clients to talk about how they’re feeling; it is one of the most important aspects of any relationship in this universe.
You should always remember your worth and the value of your emotions, above everything else.
